Quesnel RCMP say they have resolved an incident near Dragon Lake Elementary School.
Police issued a call for information earlier this week after a man in a truck offered a ride to a 14 year-old boy at the school bus stop Tuesday morning.
Investigators say the man driving the pickup came to the Quesnel detachment to provide his version of the event.
Mounties have concluded that the man’s intent was not to scare or harm the boy.
Quesnel RCMP say the incident is a good reminder for the public to know their surroundings and stay vigilant.
Police say a good rule of thumb is don’t offer or accept a ride when it involves someone you don’t know.
