It’s been a busy month for Quesnel Mayor Bob Simpson as he spent it travelling to the far corners of the province and back again.
Simpson has been representing the City at a number of high profile events, conferences, and meetings during that stretch.
His journey began in Williams Lake for a special District Board meeting which highlighted the challenges facing the forestry industry and how best to address them.
Next, Quesnel’s Mayor found himself in Prince George for the Natural Resources Conference.
Simpson used his time on the panel to highlight his city’s economic development goals and highlight his strategy for turning Quesnel in to a destination community.
At his third destination, Kamloops, Simpson participated in the Association of BC Forest Professionals conference, and was able to speak with key influencers on their Future of Forestry Think Tank process.
Finally, Simpson headed to Vancouver for a Fraser Basin Council meeting before headed back to Kamloops, and eventually back home.
