A mine north of Smithers could be set to change hands after yesterday’s completion of a geological survey.
An 88 km airborne geophysical field survey of the Red Spring copper-silver-zinc-gold mine wrapped up 120 kms north of Smithers yesterday.
Doubleview Capital Corporation, who currently owns the mine, possess a multi-year, area-based, permit to conduct drilling at 20 diamond drill sites in the area.
MuchoCobre Resources Limited has an option to acquire a 60 percent interest in the operation, and ordered the survey be conducted as a result.
Both companies now patiently await the results of the survey.
