Construction on the first two segments of the Coastal GasLink Pipeline are slated to begin in the Peace Region this month.
TransCanada presented the plan to the Peace River Regional District during a meeting last week.
Construction on the 670 km pipeline project will be performed in 8 sections, beginning in Groundbirch.
CGL will first begin clearing the area to prepare for the construction of a compressor building in the area.
Two stockpile locations near Chetwynd and Sunkunka have also been set up, which will see trains bring in materials before being shipped to their final destinations.
A 300 person work camp near Sunkunka will open up when work begins.
