A grant application will be submitted by Quesnel for two electric vehicle charging stations in the city.
Approved by council yesterday, the application would cover 73 percent of the costs to install two stations at the Visitor Information Centre.
Funding from that application would come from the CleanBC Community Fund.
The stations would join the Charge North Rural Electrical Vehicle Network, which aims to provide more than 27 hundred kilometres of highway with charging stations.
Under the CleanBC strategy, the government has mandated that every vehicle sold in BC by 2040 must be electric.
