Haida Gwaii and the North Coast of B.C. can expect gale force winds between Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning.
Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for coastal areas of the North Coast and continued a warning for Haida Gwaii.
Forecasters say an intense front will bring strong wind to areas adjacent to Hecate Strait late Monday and through the night with peaks of 11o kilometres an hour.
The winds are expected to die down sometime Tuesday.
Environment Canada says the wind may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break.
