One person is dead following a collision south of Taylor yesterday morning.
At around 8:30 in the morning, a pick-up truck and semi-truck met head-on in a collision on the Alaska Highway near 230 Road.
Dawson Creek RCMP, Emergency Services, and Traffic Service all responded to the scene following the crash.
The driver of the pick-up truck, who was the vehicle’s lone occupant, was declared dead on scene.
As a result, the Highway was closed, with a detour in place, until roughly 5:00 yesterday evening.
The cause of the crash is unknown at this time and police are continuing to investigate.
