In a report released this morning, BC Auditor General Carol Bellringer commended BC Hydro for their asset management efforts.
A recently completed independent audit conducted by the Office of the Auditor General found no deficiencies in the Utility’s asset management systems, and brought forth no recommendations.
BC Hydro manages roughly 25 billion dollars in assets across dams, generators, transformers, substaitions, and much more.
The audit itself looked in to whether or not BC Hydro had the information, processes, and systems needed to support its substantial assets.
Bellringer says that the Utility’s exemplary assets are no fluke, stating that they are the result of a decade-long plan which has been meticulously implemented and carried out.
