Indigenous people in Northern BC interested in how technology will affect their communities are in luck this fall.
A series of regional gatherings hosted by the First Nations Technology Council are set to kick off tomorrow in Prince George.
Communications Specialist Trevor Jang says the gatherings offer a tremendous opportunity to both learn about the impacts of technology, and have your views heard.
According to Jang, the meetings are also a networking opportunity for those interested in tech education or a related career path.
The first gathering will be at The House of Ancestors in Prince George tomorrow and Wednesday.
Prince Rupert Gathering
The Council will be gathering for a second community meeting in Prince Rupert on September 18th and 19th.
Jang says there are still travel subsidies for those who are passionate about technology in their communities, but may have some trouble making it to the Prince Rupert event on their own dime.
The Crest Hotel will play host to the first day of meetings in Prince Rupert on the 18th.
