Premier John Horgan has announced plans to match flood relief donations.
The provincial government will be matching donations made to the Red Cross to help those recovering from the recent flooding in the province up to a total of 20 million dollars.
The government has selected the Red Cross for this endeavour due to their experience in co-ordinating emergency relief efforts.
The dollar-for-dollar donation campaign will run from today until July 31st, matching all individual donations up to the 20 million dollar total.
