The BC Coroners Service is trying to identify human remains found in a burned home near Charlie Lake.
RCMP say the homeowner, 55 year-old John Banky, is still considered a missing person.
Police were called out to the fire at Banky’s Hannaford Road home shortly after 3:00 a.m. on March 30th.
Banky’s burning vehicle was discovered on the nearby Golf Course Road about three hours later.
The RCMP North District Major Crimes Unit continues to investigate the remains and the fires.
Officials say no further information about the case will be released to protect the integrity of the investigation.
