Environment Canada has issued a number weather warnings across a large swath of northern BC as another blast of winter moves inland.
Terrace and Kitimat are under winter storm warnings with 15 cm of snow expected along with strong outflow winds leading to extreme wind chill values near minus 20
While the snow could ease by Sunday afternoon, the wind is expected to remain strong, leading to reduced visibility and continued cold temperatures.
Dease Lake is under an extreme cold warning as temperatures dipped down to minus 36 overnight. Combined with light wind, extreme wind chill values hit below minus 45.
The temperature is expected to warm up Sunday.
Snowfall warnings remains in effect for Bulkley Valley and the Lakes, Prince George, and the Cariboo with 15 to 20 cm of snow expected.
