CN Rail will be conducting avalanche control work today on Kitselas Mountain.
The work will get underway sometime between 2:00pm and 6:00pm depending on local flying conditions.
Avalanche Canada considers the Avalanche risk in the Northwest to be moderate at all elevations today, which is the second step on their 5 tier danger rating.
Experts warns conditions will worsen over the coming days as the sun beats down on the snowpack, with the avalanche risk forecast to be considerable by tomorrow and into the weekend.
