Daajing Giids RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating a wanted individual in the community.
Police say 43-year-old Shaun Jackson Smith is wanted in relation to drug-related offences. According to RCMP, Smith is facing charges including possession for the purpose of trafficking under Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, as well as possession for the purpose of selling under Section 10(2) of the Cannabis Act.
Smith is described as an Indigenous male, standing six feet tall and weighing approximately 209 pounds. He is said to have a stocky build, brown greying hair, and brown eyes.
RCMP are stressing that members of the public should not attempt to approach or apprehend Smith. Police say doing so could be dangerous, and they are urging anyone who believes they have seen him, or who has information about his whereabouts, to contact authorities instead.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Daajing Giids RCMP at 250-559-4421. Police say even small details could help move the investigation forward.
