Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued a Fog advisory for inland sections of the North Coast this morning, including the Terrace and Kitimat area.
Heavy fog in this region this morning will cause near-zero visibility in places, with forecasters suggesting you allot extra time for travelling today.
The fog is expected to become less dense later this morning as rain moves into the region.
Last week, Environment Canada had rolled out new colour-coded weather alerts; Yellow, Orange and Red, to indicate the severity of the weather that prompted the alert.
The Fog advisory for Terrace this morning is considered a Yellow Advisory, meaning that the impacts from the heavy fog are expected to be moderate, localized and short-term, but still impactful enough to prompt a warning that Hazardous weather may cause some disruptions.
