Starting today, the 9th annual Nation2Nation (N2N) Forum is taking place in Kitimat, BC, from October 21 to 23. Hosted on the traditional territory of the Haisla First Nation, the forum brings together Indigenous, government, and industry leaders to explore economic development under the theme “Stronger Economies.”
Over 250 participants are expected to take part in three days of keynote presentations, expert panels, and hands-on workshops. Discussions will center on Indigenous leadership and opportunity in sectors such as natural gas (LNG), mining, energy, forestry, and the shift toward greener technologies.
Today’s events include a free welcome reception at the Riverlodge Recreation Centre, followed by a ticketed dinner and evening networking. Other highlights this week include a boat tour and a VIP social event at The Legion.
Throughout the forum, attendees are encouraged to explore Kitimat with the “Discover Downtown” initiative, offering discounts at local shops when guests present their name badge.
Now in its ninth year, the Nation2Nation Forum continues to provide a platform for building long-term partnerships that support Indigenous economic growth in Northwest BC and beyond.
