Williams Lake RCMP say a routine traffic stop has led to the seizure of illegal drugs, cash, and a firearm.
On Monday, October 6, 2025, at approximately 11:27 a.m., officers were conducting proactive patrols on Oliver Street when they stopped a vehicle. The driver, who is known to police, was under court-ordered conditions not to possess weapons.
Due to the driver’s behaviour and for officer safety, police conducted a search and found a folding knife. The driver was immediately arrested.
A further search of the vehicle led to the discovery of several suspected drugs: 16.1 grams of cocaine, 22.3 grams of crack cocaine, and 11.4 grams of crystal methamphetamine. Officers also located drug trafficking paraphernalia and $500 in Canadian cash.
During the release process, the driver made statements that enabled police to obtain a search warrant for her residence. Inside the home, RCMP found more suspected cocaine, drug trafficking items, approximately $300 in cash, and a loaded revolver pistol.
RCMP confirm the investigation remains ongoing, and potential charges are being reviewed.
