A police investigation in Williams Lake has led to the seizure of significant quantities of drugs, cash, and an imitation firearm.
The Cariboo-Chilcotin Crime Reduction Unit launched the operation on Thursday, September 18, targeting individuals believed to be involved in drug trafficking and related violence. The unit arrested an adult male known to police, who was found in possession of suspected fentanyl, crack cocaine, methamphetamine, bear spray, and over $4,200 in cash.
Following the arrest, officers secured a search warrant and executed it the next day at a residence in the city. Inside, they found an imitation Glock pistol, additional suspected drugs—including fentanyl, cocaine, and meth—and over $11,000 in cash.
In total, more than $15,000 in cash was seized, along with multiple substances linked to the illicit drug trade.
RCMP say the suspect was released without charges for now, pending further investigation.
Police continue to target individuals contributing to drug-related crime and violence in the Williams Lake area. The investigation remains active.
