MLA Tamara Davidson will be busy this week on Haida Gwaii, hosting meetings and introducing the new Minister of Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation, Spencer Chandra Herbert. Minister Chandra Herbert, who has served as an MLA since 2009, was appointed to his new role earlier this summer. Davidson is excited to show him around the region and discuss the work being done in Indigenous relations.
Davidson will also be holding public meet-and-greets on Haida Gwaii this week. On Thursday, she’ll be at Blacktail Bake + Brew in Daajing Giids at 11 a.m., and on Friday, she will have a booth at the Masset Market, starting at 11 a.m. She invites local residents to come by, share their thoughts, and ask questions.
Looking ahead, Davidson confirmed a return trip to Prince Rupert during break week in October, with further details on events to be shared soon.
