Northern Health is reminding Quesnel families to get their children ready for school with routine immunizations.
Children aged five and older who are starting Kindergarten this September are eligible for vaccines that protect against several preventable diseases, including measles, mumps, rubella, chickenpox, tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis (whooping cough), and polio.
To help families prepare, Quesnel Community Health Services will be holding immunization clinics on September 2 and 4, 2025, at their location at 523 Front Street.
Parents must book an appointment in advance by calling 250-983-6850.
Northern Health encourages all families to check their child’s vaccination records and ensure they are up to date before school starts. These vaccines are part of B.C.’s routine immunization schedule and are offered for free.

Clinics like this aim to protect both individual children and the broader community from disease outbreaks as the school year begins.
