The Homelessness Services Association of BC (HSABC) is kicking off its new Regional Event Series in Terrace on September 25, 2025. Held at the Terrace Sportsplex Banquet Room, the full-day event will bring together service providers, advocates, and community members from across the North Coast to focus on shared challenges and solutions in the homelessness-serving sector.
The morning will feature a three-hour workshop on Decolonization and Advocacy, examining colonial impacts and exploring how individuals and organizations can support Indigenous rights and systemic change.
In the afternoon, a second workshop will address Mental Health and Substance Use, offering trauma-informed strategies for supporting clients while also promoting staff resilience and emotional well-being.
Participants will have the chance to share reflections and learn from one another during a facilitated dialogue, followed by a networking social hour with light refreshments.
Breakfast, lunch, and coffee breaks are included. Onsite peer, mental health, and cultural supports will also be available to ensure an inclusive and welcoming space.
