The City of Terrace is kicking off plans to improve or replace its aging skatepark, starting with a community feedback session scheduled for Wednesday, July 30. The meeting will take place from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Terrace Sportsplex on Kalum Street.
In partnership with New Line Skateparks, the city is conducting a feasibility study and concept design for the project. Officials say the existing skatepark is outdated and no longer meets the needs of the community. The upcoming session will give users and residents a chance to share their ideas, concerns, and vision for a future facility.
The study aims to assess what features are important to local skaters, bikers, and scooter riders, along with exploring potential costs and options—whether that means upgrading the current space or building a new one altogether.
City planners emphasize that community input will directly shape the direction of the project, which remains in early stages. The feedback session is open to all ages and experience levels, and no registration is required.
