A young driver was caught speeding more than double the limit on Highway 16 near the Kalum Motel last Thursday night.
Shortly after 9 p.m. on June 27, a BC Highway Patrol officer clocked a blue vehicle going 127 kilometres an hour in a 60 zone.
The driver, who holds a Class 7N license, was pulled over and issued multiple violation tickets — including for excessive speed, failing to update her address, and failing to produce insurance.
The vehicle was towed from the scene. The woman arranged alternate transportation for herself and her child.
