B.C. Brings the Brew to U.S. Healthcare Workers, Seeks Doctors and Nurses

In a unique twist on healthcare recruitment, British Columbia is targeting U.S. healthcare professionals with a coffee truck in Seattle this week. Free cups of coffee are being offered to doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals on June 18 and 19, aimed at sparking interest in job opportunities in B.C. The campaign is part of a larger effort to attract skilled healthcare workers from Washington, Oregon, and California, as the province faces increasing shortages in key areas such as cancer care, emergency departments, and rural regions. This two-day coffee initiative is designed to directly engage healthcare workers and provide information on opportunities in B.C. Since launching in early June, the recruitment effort has already drawn over 1,600 expressions of interest, including more than 700 doctors and nurses.
