On June 5, the Cariboo-Chilcotin Crime Reduction Unit executed a search warrant at a home in Williams Lake, uncovering a significant stash of illegal items. Police had been investigating a suspected drug trafficking operation linked to the residence, following observations of suspicious vehicle activity the day before. During the search, officers seized suspected cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl, magic mushrooms, a variety of pills, illegal cigarettes, firearms, ammunition, and about $5,000 in cash. A man was arrested at the scene, while another individual, believed to live at the house, attempted to flee but was also apprehended. He was found with suspected cocaine on him. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities vowing to continue their efforts against the local drug trade. No further details have been released at this time.
