These materials, if not properly disposed of, can cause severe environmental damage. Thanks to the dedication of businesses and organizations in towns like Williams Lake, Fort St. John, and Prince Rupert, these harmful materials are being carefully managed and recycled. This year’s awards demonstrate that even small communities across B.C. can make a major contribution to sustainability and environmental protection.
