Emergency Department services at Dawson Creek & District Hospital are currently unavailable due to unexpected staffing shortages. Regular operations are expected to resume at 10 o’clock tonight.
In the meantime, anyone in the Dawson Creek area experiencing life-threatening conditions such as severe bleeding, chest pain, or trouble breathing should call 9-1-1 for emergency transport to the nearest available facility.
For non-urgent medical issues, residents are encouraged to contact their family doctor or nurse practitioner. Those without a primary care provider can call the Northern Health Virtual Primary and Community Care Clinic at 1-844-645-7811 between 10 AM and 10 PM.
Indigenous patients and their families can access care through the First Nations Virtual Doctor of the Day at 1-855-344-3800, available daily from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
