To encourage the public to participate in their pool referendum, BC Transit in Quesnel is offering free services.
Starting on June 10, general voters will be deciding whether or not the City of Quesnel and Cariboo Regional District should borrow $35 million.
That money would be used to fund upgrades to the Quesnel Arts and Recreation Centre pool including things like a swirl pool, sauna, and electrical upgrades.
If passed, residents within the sub-regional recreational tax area would see a property tax increase of $75 per $100,000 of assessed value.
To get those affected residents to the polls, BC Transit is offering free service all day including handyDART.
