Improved access to clean energy is on the way for a pair of northern First Nations, thanks to new provincial funding.
A $177,000 investment will help the Binche Whut’en First Nation install a solar and energy-storage system at their Community Centre.
Another $30,000 goes to the Doig River First Nation to support the development of a community energy plan to improve efficiency.
Funding for both projects comes from the Province’s First Nations Clean Energy Business Fund.
