Alongside a $20 million investment into Science World improvements, the province has increased funding for existing tourism infrastructure upgrades.
$30 million from the province will go towards projects to enhance existing tourism infrastructure around BC.
That funding will go towards projects like the implementation of the Tahltan Central Governments Signage Master Plan to include the Tahltan language.
Prince Rupert will also see $500,000 towards phase one of their Kaien Island Cloudberry Trail, and $918,378 to the Hazelton Trail Society to enhance their Gitanamaax Pumptrack.
This funding builds on a previous $15 million allocated to the Tourism Infrastructure Fund to create more vibrant communities, strengthen year round tourism, and support sustainability and inclusion.
