By this time tomorrow, the BC Liberal Party will be a thing of the past, with the freshly named BC United rising to take its place.
Party Leaders Kevin Falcon made it clear that he was looking to change the name of the party when he took over as leader last February.
At the time, Falcon promised a new chapter for the party, which included a name change to cut perceived ties with the Federal Liberals.
In November, more than 8,000 members came together to vote on the new name, with 80 percent ultimately voting in favour of BC United.
Today at 4:00, the party will hold an official launch event in Surrey to usher in the new name, and Falcon’s promised new chapter.
