After a brief break, avalanche risks across most of the North are back to considerable levels.
Deep storm slabs created over the past few weeks remain reactive, in addition to a weak lower snowpack still impacting many areas.
That has prompted Avalanche Canada to set the danger rating to Stage 3 on their 5 step scale for the Northwest, Interior, and South Peace.
But they also say that if you are in an area experiencing heavy snowfall, you should consider the avalanche risk to be high, regardless.
That comes a day after an avalanche in the Southern Interior claimed the lives of three heli-skiiers, and sent four others to hospital.
BC has now seen six deadly slides since November, which have claimed a combined total of 12 lives.
