Police have released more information as they continue to search for a missing tractor trailer involved in a fatal collision near Dawson Creek last week.
At around 5:40 Thursday evening, RCMP were called to the scene of a head-on collision on the 800 block of Highway 2.
There, they found a heavily damaged GMC pick-up truck and the body of an occupant who was pronounced dead at the scene.
One semi-truck remained behind after the crash, while a second semi had already left the scene by the time officers arrived.
Police are now looking to speak to the driver of the missing B-Train tractor trailer, which had been driving east past the airport between 4:30 and 5:30.
It is described as a white International ProStar, with a red “H” on the driver’s side door, and the numbers 1557 in black on the hood.
At the time of the crash, the truck had been hauling a load of OSB plywood, on what is believed to be a Doepker Super B trailer.
Anyone with information on the truck or incident should contact Dawson Creek RCMP at 250 784 3700.
