More than $11 million in Community Gaming Grants will help fund a range of extra-curricular activities at schools across BC.
Split between some 1,300 Parent Advisory Councils, the funds come from the province’s Community Gaming Grants program.
PACs and District PACs help to organize everything from school dances and performances, to field trips and clubs for K-12 students.
A total of 8 councils at schools on the North Coast will split just over $24,000 in fresh funds, while 9 in the Skeena will share $48,000.
In the Nechako, 13 councils get a combined $77,000, and 8 councils in the Stikine will divvy up close to $42,000.
Just over $71,000 will go to councils in the Peace River South, and 20 more projects in the Peace South will benefit from $110,000.
