A weather advisory is in effect for parts of northern B.C.
Heavy, localized flurries are expected to develop tonight and continue through Friday afternoon across the North Coast, the Bulkley Valley, and along sections of Highways 16 and 37.
A strong low pressure system moving in from the Gulf of Alaska will bring a cold and unstable air mass into the region. That means bands of heavy snow showers that could quickly reduce visibility, especially during heavier bursts.
Snowfall totals will vary from place to place, depending on where these bands settle and how long they last.
If you’re travelling, be prepared for sudden changes in weather and road conditions, and plan for extra travel time.
