A rainfall warning remains in effect for the North Coast and North Coast Inland.
A long stretch of rain heavy at times continues across the region today.
For North Coast Inland communities, including Kitimat and Terrace, an additional 40 to 70 millimetres of rain is expected from now through this evening.
A slow-moving frontal system is keeping steady rain in the area, but conditions should begin to ease later this evening as the system weakens.
Meanwhile, along the North Coast coastline, including Prince Rupert, rainfall totals could reach up to 100 millimetres by this evening.
The heaviest rain is expected over southern sections of the coast, where 80 to 120 millimetres is possible. Prince Rupert could see 70 to 100 millimetres before the rain tapers off later tonight.
Drivers are advised to watch for water pooling on roads, reduced visibility, and the risk of washouts near rivers, creeks, and culverts.
Rainfall warnings are issued when significant impacts are possible, and residents are encouraged to stay alert to changing conditions.
