The Village of Masset has issued a Voyent!Alert for slippery road conditions on the North side of Graham Island today, and the Skidegate band council warned that conditions are much the same to the south.
Poor weather conditions have made walkways, roads and parking lots treacherous today with quickly changing weather conditions potentially making them worse. Caution is advised for those travelling on Haida Gwaii today, with maintenance crews now working to combat the buildup of ice.
The Council of Haida Nation said earlier today that conditions were too poor for sanding to take place, and had advised against travelling unless necessary until conditions improve.
