Charges laid following arson at Burns Lake church

The Burns Lake RCMP say charges have been laid in the aftermath of an arson attack at the Burns Lake Island Gospel Fellowship on December 22nd.

19-year-old Brayden Riley Shelford has now been charged with Break and Enter with intent, and with intentionally or recklessly causing damage to property by fire or explosion.

RCMP say he’s been remanded into custody awaiting a court appearance, but note the investigation remains ongoing and that Shelford may face additional charges.
