Noah has been named the most popular baby name in British Columbia for 2025, marking a return to the top spot after also leading the charts in 2022 and 2023. This year, Noah was chosen for 198 more newborns than last year’s top boy’s name, Oliver, showing the name’s enduring appeal.
The province’s top 10 names for 2025 include Noah, Oliver, Theodore, Liam, Olivia, Charlotte, Jack, Henry, Sophia, and James. Comparatively, the 2024 list featured Oliver and Olivia as the leading names, followed by Liam, Noah, and Theodore, highlighting how certain names continue to resonate with parents year after year.
According to B.C.’s Vital Statistics Agency, more than 41,500 babies were registered between January 1st and December 15th, 2025. Only names given to five or more children are included in the official rankings.
