The Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako has issued an evacuation alert for the Dohler Flats area due to flooding. Residents are advised to be prepared to leave at a moment’s notice.
A hazard notice is also in effect for the Town of Smithers, where ice jams and flooding are impacting low-lying areas along the Bulkley River, between the Smithers Airport and the Highway 16 bridge south of town.
