There are a number of snowfall warnings in effect for parts of the Central Coast and Northeastern BC today.
A snowfall warning is currently in effect for the Peace region as Forecasters from Environment and Climate Change Canada say 10 to 20 centimeters of snow is expected in Fort St. John, Hudson’s Hope, Chetwynd and the Dawson Creek areas.
Fort St. John and Hudson’s Hope are set to receive around 10 centimeters, while Chetwynd and Dawson Creek a bit more, with 15 to 20 centimeters expected.
The snowfall warning also extends into the Pine Pass, where 10 to 15 centimeters are expected to fall today, and 10 more overnight. Blowing snow and reduced visibility will be possible in the Peace and the Pine Pass, with travel conditions likely to be challenging. The snow should taper off overnight.
A snowfall warning is also in effect for Bella Coola, where 10 centimeters of snow is expected throughout the day today as a frontal system moves onto the coast, visibility will likely be reduced at times, but the snow should taper off to flurries this evening.
