Fort St. John RCMP executed a search warrant on November 21, 2025, at a residence in the Peace Country Mobile Home Park as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation. The property has been linked to multiple police calls over the past year.
The Street Enforcement Team, assisted by the Serious Crimes Unit and frontline officers, arrested eight individuals during the enforcement action. Officers seized a loaded pistol, drugs, currency, and thousands of dollars in stolen tools. The tools are believed to have been stolen locally, and police are working to identify the owners.
One female suspect was held in custody for breaching court conditions, while the other seven individuals were released pending further investigation and determination of potential charges.
Sgt. Ian Rissanen, commander of the Fort St. John RCMP Plain Clothes Unit, said the Street Enforcement Team continues its efforts to combat the illicit drug trade and the related crimes that often accompany it, including property theft. He added that the team remains focused on addressing nuisance properties linked to illegal activity in the area.
