Northern Health is reminding Fort Nelson residents that COVID-19 and flu immunization clinics are continuing throughout November. Vaccines are free and recommended for everyone six months of age and older.
Clinics are being held at the Fort Nelson Health Unit, located at 5217 Airport Drive. Upcoming sessions are: November 6 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and November 13 and 14 from 1:15 to 4 p.m. Appointments are required and can be booked by calling 250-774-7092.
Vaccinations are also available at participating pharmacies through B.C.’s Get Vaccinated system. Residents can register and book online at getvaccinated.gov.bc.ca or by calling 1-833-838-2323.
Northern Health encourages residents to check back often, as clinic schedules are updated regularly. Those who can’t find an appointment right away are advised to try again later.
Getting vaccinated remains the best protection against serious illness from COVID-19 and influenza, particularly for people who are more vulnerable.
