The 10th annual B.C. Cabinet and First Nations Leaders’ Gathering is underway in Victoria, bringing together more than 1,300 people from across British Columbia to strengthen government-to-government relationships and advance reconciliation.
Premier David Eby joined the First Nations Leadership Council—representing the B.C. Assembly of First Nations, the First Nations Summit, and the Union of B.C. Indian Chiefs—to open the two-day event. This year’s gathering includes representation from more than 200 First Nations and every provincial ministry, with over 1,300 one-on-one meetings scheduled between provincial and First Nations leaders.
Sessions throughout the event explore topics such as major project development, addressing racism, and implementing B.C.’s Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act. The gathering also features an exhibitor space connecting communities with programs and services that support Indigenous-led growth and development.
Now in its tenth year, the event remains one of Canada’s largest forums for provincial and First Nations collaboration, providing a dedicated space for open dialogue, shared priorities, and progress toward reconciliation and self-determination in British Columbia.
