Dawson Creek RCMP have released the name of the person found dead in a burned-out vehicle discovered last month.
Police say the victim is 29-year-old Jesse Twain of Edmonton, Alberta. His remains were located inside a vehicle that had been completely destroyed by fire on October 13, 2025.
The investigation was first made public in a release issued on October 16th. Since then, RCMP have been working to confirm the victim’s identity and determine what led to the fire and death.
Mounties are treating the case as suspicious and continue to gather evidence. They are appealing to the public for help, asking anyone who may have seen Jesse Twain or knows anything about his activities before the incident to come forward.
Anyone with information is asked to call the dedicated RCMP tip line at 1-877-987-8477.
The investigation is ongoing.
