Northern Health says there’s been another potential measles exposure at the Dawson Creek & District Hospital.
Exposure to the measles virus may have been possible within the Emergency Room and Waiting room of the Dawson Creek & District Hospital on last Tuesday, October 21st, from exactly 9:09am until 1:00pm. A second window of exposure had occurred in the Hospital’s ER and Waiting room on Friday, October 24th, from exactly 10:54am though to 2:20pm.
The Health Authority has urged those who visited the ER and Waiting room during these times to self-monitor for symptoms of measles over the coming days.
You can find more information on the measles virus online via the BC Centre for Disease Control’s website, including a measles exposure self-assessment questionnaire, and information on symptoms, and the latest exposure locations.
