Water Quality Advisory Issued for Kitimat

The District of Kitimat has issued a water quality advistory for it’s water supply due to what they say elevated turbidity in the Kitimat River, meaning the river water has become hazier than usual as runoff from the heavy rains reach the river

Northern health has advised residents of Kitimat who are Pregnant, have children, or who have compromised immune systems to boil the water they use for consumption.

The notice will remain in effect until further notice.
