Cleanfarms is bringing its fall collection program to Fort St. John on Tuesday, October 14, giving local farmers and ranchers a chance to safely dispose of unwanted pesticides and outdated livestock or equine medications.
The drop-off runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Nutrien Ag Solutions, located at 9704 78th Street. This event is part of a wider effort across Northern Alberta and the Peace Region of B.C. and Alberta.
The program is free of charge and is funded by Cleanfarms’ crop protection industry members and the Canadian Animal Health Institute.
Farmers can bring in commercial agricultural pesticides with a valid Pest Control Product number, as well as on-farm livestock and equine medications that include a DIN or serial number.
Not accepted: needles, sharps, medicated feed, household or aerosol containers, or domestic products.
Cleanfarms has been offering this collection service for over 15 years, supporting environmental sustainability and safe farm waste disposal.
