On September 21, the Conservative Party released a statement condemning Prime Minister Mark Carney’s decision to recognize the Hamas State. The Conservatives argue that the Prime Minister is using this international move to distract from critical domestic issues, including rampant crime, rising costs, soaring debt, immigration challenges, and job losses.
In contrast, the Conservatives say their focus remains on putting Canada first. Their priorities include restoring take-home pay, ensuring safer streets, and securing borders, while maintaining self-reliance. The statement further criticized Carney for creating a situation where terrorists are, in their view, rewarded for their violence, including raping civilians, taking hostages, and oppressing the Palestinian people.
The Conservatives reaffirmed their support for Israel’s right to exist and defend itself, calling for the establishment of a future demilitarized, terror-free, and democratic Palestinian state. They emphasized that Canada’s future should be the government’s primary concern, calling for a shift toward prioritizing what’s best for Canadians.
