The Cops for Cancer Tour de North will roll through Northern BC from September 12th to 18th, raising funds and awareness for childhood cancer research. The 7-day event brings together law enforcement and emergency services personnel who have been training and fundraising in support of the Canadian Cancer Society and programs like Camp Goodtimes.
The tour will start with a kick-off event in Prince George on September 12th at Heritage Elementary and will conclude with a closing ceremony in Prince Rupert on September 18th at The Crest Hotel. Both events are open to the media, with opportunities for photos and interviews with the riders, RCMP, and Canadian Cancer Society representatives.
The tour will visit several communities along the way, including Vanderhoof, Fort St. James, Smithers, and Terrace. Media in each community are encouraged to attend and cover the tour as it raises funds for a crucial cause.
